Captured Words

Some bridge graffiti quite randomly appeared on a pedestrian cross bridge by the train station a couple of weeks ago. I'm not usually a big fan of graffiti but this one strikes a cord with me.

My CS5 trial version expired two weeks ago so I haven't been editing any photos. But, I do have Lightroom 3 on my Mac so I just need to get on learning how to use it!

Whenever I'm out shooting, I always forget the amazing views that are awaiting you if you just look up. This shot was taken in Sienna, Italy.

Sunsets

Dusk and dawn are my favourite times of the day. Perhaps befittingly as these hours are referred to as "the golden hours" by photographers, mainly because the light is soft and warm. I love sunsets, they are different everyday and the colours are almost always dramatic.  

wanderlust: New Zealand

I refer to New Zealand (lovingly of course) as the "Land of the Hobbits". Remember those dream-like landscapes from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy?


This photo below really shows the incredible landscape of the country. One day, I'm going to buy a one-way ticket heading to Wellington, and then spend an entire month exploring.

on the wall

First picture post. A while ago we decided to put up a wall collage of photos behind our sofa. After about 2 weeks of scouting and buying picture frames, posting 4 x 6 prints on the wall for positioning and 2 hours of putting nails on the wall and positioning, we're done! Our very first wall collage.
